Michaela Wood is an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, and received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL. She has a deep love and nature and children, and has been inspired by the healing potential of Chinese Medicine as it pertains to children and childhood illness. A long time student of dance and movement, she also holds a Bachelor Arts of Dance from Marlboro College.
Michael DeAgro practices psychotherapy, Asian bodywork therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine in his clinic in Traverse City, Michigan. Melinda (Minde) Wallace has been a massage therapist since 1997. She has a deep ongoing respect for the human body’s ability to heal through touch. She considers herself a life-long student of the healing arts. Minde's passion for learning has sparked a worldwide journey to study different forms of body therapies and alternative medicine. She spent time in India studying Yoga and Reflexology. She lived in California to learn Ayurvedic medicine and Aroma Therapy. Deirdre Kelley, Lic Ac, is licensed by the Board of Registry in Medicine of Vermont and is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). While receiving her Masters degree in Acupuncture from The New England School of Acupuncture, she completed clinical rotations at the Boston Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, New England School of Acupuncture and the Dimmock Community Clinic. Since 2010, Deirdre has been an Assistant Teacher at the New England School of Acupuncture specializing in Japanese Styles, Living Anatomy and Orthopedic Medicine. In 2011 she finished a post-graduate residency with All Care Hospice, providing Acupuncture to hospice patients and their care givers in and around Boston. Marjorie Pivar studied under Wataru Ohashi and Pauline Sasaki, two of the master world teachers. Marjorie has been practicing Zen style Shiatsu for over thirty years and is certified by the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia. She holds a masters degree in Holistic Health Education from Norwich University and has taught both privately and in the classroom. Marjorie is the author with Quang Van Nguyen of Fourth Uncle in the Mountain: The Remarkable Legacy of a Buddhist Itinerant Doctor in Vietnam (St. Martin’s Griffin, 2006), which is required reading at many schools of Asian medicine.
